Hi,
1.do cars guzzle more petrol in AC with higher blower speeds.
2.rear defogger how to check for its functioning?
3.how do I know about shockobserver in my vehicle is OK what is periodic maintenance
4.what brand of wipers is best for my vehicle because the one I use is not clear in vision in heavy rains.

1. Yes, using the A/C increases gas consumption; blower speed has no bearing.
2. Feel the heat radiating from the elements. Use multimeter to test for voltage between the positive terminal and body ground, with the ignition switch and the defogger switch ON. There should be battery voltage--if not, check all under hood and under dash fuses with the multimeter. Check for continuity between the negative terminal and body ground. If there's no continuity, check for an open in the defogger ground wire. Touch the voltmeter positive probe to the middle of each defogger wire, and the negative. Probe to the negative terminal. There should be approximately 6 volts with the ignition switch and the defogger switch ON. If the voltage is 6 volts, the defogger wire is OK. If there is battery voltage, the defogger wire is broken on the negative side. If there is no voltage, the defogger wire is broken on the positive side. It's a good idea to clean connectors with abrasive cloth and apply thin a coating of dielectric grease, since corrosion can be a problem.
3. Car bounce, stability, handling, and tire wear. No periodic maintenance required.
4. Buy wiper inserts from Hyundai.
5. Turn the A/C on, set to recirculate, to prevent fogging at any time. It's counter-intuitive, but turn the A/C on, set to recirculate, at the same time the heater is on in the winter.
6. Not sure what you mean.
7. Only set the A/C to recirculate. Turn the A/C on each month, in order to keep the seals lubricated and prevent freon loss. Only have Hyundai or an A/C professional service the system.
8. Too extreme behavior--just drive normally.
9. Brake drums and disks should last the life of the vehicle. Replace pads and shoes when they are worn halfway down. Change brake fluid every two years.
10. Not familiar with your vehicle to know if it has ABS or not. Look for an ABS modulator and sensors on each wheel.
11. Recirculate.

First this model car does not use much gas at all. I have owned two over the past 6 or so years and both have gotten at least 35 miles to the gallon of gas, and this is using the air conditioner

1. the fan speed has no bearing on it what so ever, even running the air does not burn a lot of extra gas
2. you can check current at the connection, or merely let it fog up and turn it on and see if it clears
3. during regular maintenance these can be checked visible and is car bouncy
4. I personally buy the cheaper discount store one, but will put in new when they stop working
5. Common in this model, normally the defroster will handle it, or you can crack a window open also
6. I know of no tubless tires approved for car use ( at least in the US)
7. use it when you are hot, it makes little difference in performance on this car
8. don't, plus the wear on the gears , just a real waste of time

Wrong!
While it's true that running the A/C does use just slightly more fuel, research conducted by independent studies shows that lower blower speeds conduct more cooling air to the passenger compartment due to extended time for the air to remain in contact with the evaporator core.

What?! Fr_C, how do you "check current?"
You will see the light come on once you've selected the rear defroster and then place your hand on the rear glass to determine if the glass is warming. The last thing you want to do is wait for fogging to find out the system isn't working! Geez!

Visible inspection is inconclusive. Shock absorber can wear internally and never show it. What does the insides of a worn shock absorber look like?
If the car rebounds more than twice, consider replacing. Ride comfort deteriorates with mileage and replacement shocks will restore that. Maybe better. Shop around.

You'll get what you pay for. Spend the fifty cents now and get through the season, winter or summer. Consider name brand wipers and carry your take-offs for spares. Shorter blades remain in contact better, too!

Wrong again!
Cracking the window only allows more humidity in!!
Most current models will cycle the A/C while in the defrost mode. I personally leave the A/C option ON so as to always improve visiblity at any time while driving. That's not economics! That's just common sense!

Wrong! Wrong! Wrong!! Perhaps, so wrong as to be ill-informed!
Almost every domestic tire manufacturer provide tubeless tires! They are more common than tubed tires.
Gadzuks!

Again, I select the A/C to be on. And it's not about economics. It' about comfort.
Most people will find that if the A/C is left ON during warmer climate, simply increasing fan speed will take care of comfort. I actually found that fan speed meets more comfort needs than temperature settins. Try it and let me know.

Here, I concur. Never drive without the transmission engaged. Even a standard shift.

9.There is no established "life cycle" for any vehicle's brake components. Pads and shoes wear due to braking needs and require replacement and so do brake discs and brake drums.

10. ABS works base upon wheel speed. Each wheel "reports" to the ABS controler and anti-lock braking is conducted from there. If the controller determines that one or more wheels is slowing faster than the others during a stop, it can evaluate if adjusting braking to a certain corner of the vehicle is appropriate. The methods of the calculation are exstensive and are different for most vehicle and could be very different for different manufacterers.

11. As I've stated before, selecting A/C "ON" will provde you with the best visibilty and greater comfort. Adjust the tempurature settings and fan speed to control your own personal comfort.
Your windows will remain clear and your interior will remain less "tacky" due to lower humidity levels.
