I returned company property and they said I didn't
I left my job of 2 years. I had a lot of company property like a laptop, printer, sample books, etc... They sent me boxes and mailing lables to return it. They arranged for it to be picked up by their service. Everything went well. Then I got a letter in the mail saying I didn't return the laptop. I did! Now they are charging me $2000 for it. What are my rights? What should I do?

If you had to sign for everything, kept your own records, everything was itemized, including laptop then they have no recourse if 'their' driver signed for everything and checked it well.

Your rights are, prove that you sent everything back with signatures.

If you did keep the laptop, stupid idea, you could have bought another one for what they are charging you now.

Do you have your paperwork stating that the driver took everything you were supposed to send back ?
