Afternoon fellow amhders. Does anyone know what happened to KC, J-Lo, and Becky?

J-Lo and Becky decided not to come back, because of what J-Lo is facing with the upcoming trial etc of her ex she figured it would be best not to participate right now.

KC left. He said he'd be back once in a while, but he basically said good bye, have a great life, take care.

So, for once I have sort of good news. Kind of. ;)

The clinic I work in closed down yesterday. I told you all about it. Upsetting, it was good money and I was counting on the job until March. R goes back to school in January for his final year and money will be tight, my income would have made it a lot less tight. ;)

Anyway, I thought it was done, over, good bye, no more, sob, cry, waaa!

Today I get an email from my boss saying that two clinics are still open and they're planning on keeping them open through January and February. Afternoons and evenings only. They're doing 2 full days per week at one clinic and two full days per week at the other. So, if I get all the shifts I asked for, which was all the shifts available, I will still be working 4 days a week until the end of February.

Sure it's in Edmonton, a bit more driving, but no biggie. I thought I was done like dinner, I guess not.

Bad thing is that the shifts are being offered to everyone. In other words, all the clinics that closed down, all the staff that worked those clinics, those shifts are being offered to all of us! I probably won't get all the shifts I asked for, but even half would be a great help.

So I may not be unemployed after all. :)

Cat, I responded to little thief girl. I opened my stupid mouth and bared my sole because deep down, I don't think she's a troll, I think she's just a confused teen.

I said a lot. I think I said too much. I opened a damn wound for this kid and now I'm waiting for her to pour salt in it.

Why do I care? Someone tell me!

You have an extremely large heart, Alty. Caring hurts, but there are the times when instead of pouring salt, they listen. I hope she is one who listens.

Like you I don't think she is a troll. I am not sure just how old she is, but I do think she needs help.

Everything I said to her before now was to get a reaction. That usually works with teens. You need to get them mad first, get them to tell you the truth, then hit them with the hug and comfort.

The thing is, I really think this kid is hurting. She said that she's 14. That's not an easy age, I remember it all too well, that's when I really started to go downhill.

This last post was my last resort. I hope she listens. Heath really opened her heart too, ripped open a wound. I hope that young girl understands why we told our stories and I really hope she finally listens.

I guess we'll see, if the mods don't close it down first, because sadly I did RIP it when I said I would.

I think if it isn't closed it probably needs to be moved to Personal Growth or Teen. Maybe even Addictions.

Oh and I think we may need to pass around the tissues and a giant group hug. :)
