    Pennsylvania default judgements
I live in Pennsylvania. I had a car repossessed and a default judgement was entered against me back in 2001. Is it still active? Does it ever expire?

    You'll find your answers here.

If the judgement has been renewed you may still have problems even after 9 years.

Agreed. And even though a typical civil judgment in Pennsylvania has a 5 year hold, there is no limit to the amount of times that a creditor may keep renewing it.

I live in Allegheny County and I can view the court dockets online. There doesn't appear to be any activity since 2001. I would think that if it was renewed, it would show up on there right? Maybe I need to file something to have it removed?
