IRA roth for L1 visa holder
    Hi,
I came to US on L1 visa and will be here for 2 years. I am paying taxes for the income I get in US. Am I eligible to open IRA roth account? After I go back to my country, Can I operate from there?

    Thanks,

    MS:

YES, you ARE eligible to open a Roth IRA provided you do not make too much annually (the income ceiling is $160K if you are married and $110K if you are single).

Once opened, you can manage it from anywhere in the world. Just make sure you fill in all the required forms.

I contribute to a Roth IRA currently. The amount I contribute is reduced based on my AGI. I have been able in the past to compute the max amount I'm allowed to contribute. However, I plan on getting married this year and I am trying to figure just how this will impact my/our contributions to the...
