    Celery leafs and fire?
I was making beef stew with celery and I always chop off the leafs and let them dry naturally on a paper towel, to put in a jar (since they are a great source for celery with out salt)
I decided to nuke them in the micro for 30 seconds to speed up the process and about 10 seconds in... the microwave made a funny sound (as if metal was in it) and there was a small spark and part of the paper towel was burned.
I turned it off right away, since I was in the kitchen at the time, but what could have caused it? I have dried many herbs before and nothing like that has happened? Celery leafs:confused:

Sorry, nope, we used to try it to dry some leaves ( not celery) many years ago and the problem was when the leaves started getting really dry, they would catch fire from merely the heat, but this was years ago

But I use a dehydrater for making many things now, you may want to consider one for that, fruits and more

I have one, it was just such a small amount. I will just leave it to dry on the counter next time.:)
