    How do you bleed the pump on oil furnace
    I ran out of heating oil. I just put oil in and the burner won't kick on. How do you bleed it

    Usually if you have a 2 pipe system it is self bleed

    If you have a one pipe system then there is a small valve port located on the pump. You crack it open a bit and start the burner. When the oil comes out with NO air then it is bled. It might take some time and a few tries to get it done.
