    You have it backwards. Trees clean our air by taking carbon dioxide out of the general atmosphere and release oxygen in its place. They are the air cleaners of our planet and should be replaced wherever necessary. Why do you think everyone is against trees being cut down in the Amazon rain forest ?

    The Boy Scouts do a great job by tree planting in urban areas.
