    Reimbursement for easement permits
WiDOT is making the two lane highway in front of my home into a 4 lane highway and are asking me to sign a temporary easement permit, so that they can physically come onto my property. They propose to give me $100.00 for the permit. Are there any questions I need to ask before I sign? The project will start this fall and will continue until next fall.
    Thanks, from Shoonut

Make sure they have liability insurance and that you're covered. Make sure the easement says that they'll hold you harmless for any injuries or damage suffered by anyone as a result of their use of the easement.

And that they will return the property to same as condition, you don't want them driving off with dead grass, deep ruts and trash over yard and they say sorry

Hi, We bought a 100 acre farm in 1989 in va. Our property has a legal easement across our neibors property, listed on our deed but there are no dimensions of the size of the road. Can we go to court and ask for dimensions on our easement? Or is there a standerd size if not stated.
