Am I responsible mortgage security instrument
I was made to sign the "Security Instrument" I was told that I was not responsible for the loan that it was protection for me. However I did not sign the note. Am I responsible since my husband is now losing the house? I didn't have a job at the time and my credit is at 0 No credit. The house is his but we are married.

The security instrument is the piece of paper that allows the bank to take the house if the loan isn't paid back. The reason that they had you sign it was because by law in some states you may have certain rights to an ownership interest in the house because you are married to the owner. Signing the security instrument meant that you were giving the bank your rights to the house if the loan didn't get paid back.

If you didn't sign the Note then you are not responsible for payment of the loan.
