    Irrational fear of fainting.
    Dear readers,
My name is Jennifer. For the last five years, I have suffered from a highly irrational fear of fainting. It has resulted in anxiety and it is to the point where I have trouble leaving my bed, not to mention my home. I am eighteen years old and it is time in my life to be leaving home and starting my own life, but the idea of leaving my home and going out in the world on my own seems impossible as long as I have this fear. I can't remember the last time I actually went shopping or to a movie, or a party with friends, grad was out of the question. I'm scared 24/7, and it makes me physically ill..
When I was 13 I seen my brother faint and I think this is the result of that.
I've tried everything I can think of, and I'm hoping to find an online program to help me.
I cannot afford any fancy treatment, I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction as to what to do, I'm really desperate at this point.

Something that you can try to help yourself as well as seeing your psychologist is EFT. Although best results are probably gained from seeing a practitioner, you can download a free guide to use yourself. I know some people who say it helps reduce their anxiety problems and I can't see how it could harm though you could check with your psychologist to be on the safe side.
