    Child support
My husband is paying child support to his ex; we recently had a child together. I just got laid off. What are the steps we need to take to reduce his child support. FYI he's paying 767 a month for one child.

If you are in CA, you are going to have to go back to court with a motion to reduce.

Mostly it depends on what state your in as to how you go about it and also it may make a difference as to how long ago the last judgement was.

You will need to go back to court. And support is based off a percentage (a formula that can be quite lenghty and complex depending on the state). So telling us how much he pays in support really dosen't mean anything unless we know how much he makes. Also depending on your state your unemployment may or may not affect anything.
