    Want to change job
My Husband works for HP as Senior Market Research Analyst and is looking out for a change. He got promoted a couple of months back but without monetary benefits because of the so called RECESSION. He is disappointed and is willing to change company.

He has a total of 5 years (Dec 09 end) experience.
    Market Research - 2 years 4+ months
    Assistant Manager Pre-sales - 1 year 3 months
    Marketing Engineer - 1 year 4 months

He has done his MBA in marketing with 3.79/4 CGPA, after completing BE in Mechanical with a distinction.

He is willing to relocate. Presently working in India. Can anyone help..

What do you mean the "so called recession"? While it's crummy to get a promotion without a raise, most people are happy just to have jobs right now. Of course it can't hurt for him to look. But I wouldn't hold out much hope of finding anything better just yet. He may just need to be patient and wait for things to get better.

    Well justcurious,
Some of his colleagues got great offer from other companies a month back. My hubby didn't try elsewhere because he was promised a good raise + promotion raise. He got neither. He started from scrap, prepared all the framework and got it to such a level that others just had to "Fill in the Blanks"... what hurts him more is that his own colleagues took his work pretending to study it and got better offers ... while he is suffering here without any appreciations. He never wished to change job until now. He was very happy with this company until the day we came to know they'r not getting anything, 2 years in a row. At lest top performers should have been rewarded, but nothing.

Well why isn't he looking for jobs where his colleagues are now? Wouldn't they be willing to put in a good word for him?

He'z about to start looking now. As I said, until now, he was not ready to change. Now, hez decided to try. His colleagues will surely help him get through given there is a vacancy. He had applied in that company last year and also got a call saying he will be receiving the offer letter within a week. By then recruitments were closed by companies due to recession and he lost the opportunity. So we are not sure if he is eligible to try again.
