    Spanish-American Dual Citizenship
I am attempting to find out what my partner and I need to do to obtain citizenship in Spain. He speak Spanish fluently, I speak so-so. I assume that there might be a language test.

Neither he nor I have any familial ties to Spain but we do want to move there. Any thoughts?

Also, we don't risk losing our U.S. citizen status do we? I guess I am curious whether Spain allows dual citizenship?

    Thank you for any help!

If none of you has family ties in Spain, obtaining citizenship is a long way to go and not easy. Basically you need to be qualified in one of these categories:

Family based, Employment based, Asylum, Special Talents, Investors.

Why not start with finding a job there... once you have work permit and have been in the country for certain period of time, then you may be eligible for naturalization.

If u go to Central America (any country, Honduras, Salvador, Nicaragua, etc.) you can easily obtain local citizenship. I'm not talking about buying fake passport, u can find ways to get it legally. It may cost you around 3000 doll give and take. Then go to Spain and apply for residency as a citizen of a Latin country. 2 years later u will have the right to apply for Spanish passport.

I was curious if you knew of anyone that I could possibly talk to about getting the local citizenship from one of the countries which you listed above?? I'm super serious about doing that, so your response would be greatly appreciated... Thanks
