I'm at my wits end, have become quite depressed, basically it's my job,

It's a family run café / restaurant, 4 out of 6 full timers are closely related (Mother & husband and daughter & husband) I've worked there six years this month and one of my bosses in particular is well out of order / unprofessional, she also happens to be the owner and I guess the MD

Some of the things she does or has done:

• Almost never does a rota so you might be off the very next day but won't know until she decides to tell you or you really push her. (Went into work this morning only to be sent home because they were overstaffed but one boss told me on Weds I was definitely working Thurs)
• Promised a pay-rise that never came.
• I'm blamed for other peoples mistakes.
• Regularly given too much to do, with not enough time so I regularly have to cut corners, which gets me into trouble.
• Called a moron or muntun often, this is generally just in jest but it gets really annoying.
• Threatened with the sack if I dare to argue my point.
• She's humiliated me in front of colleagues.
• Tells confidential information to anyone she sees fit.
• I'm regularly unfairly treated (1 rule for 1, another for another).
• Slags everyone off behind their backs and tries to gain information about peoples private lives.
• Often starts drinking wine as soon as the lunch rush is over if not before.

I'm going to leave as soon as I can find another full time job, I've got no choice, I can't talk to her she won't have it that she's the problem. I've got an appointment at the CAB but that's not for 2 weeks yet.

I think under the circumstances I'm not obligated to give them the 2 months notice I'm contracted to and would royally love to sue them but it would be so hard to prove.

Any advice? Is anything she's doing in-fact unlawful?agggrrhhhh

I don't really see what you would sue them for. And what happens if you don't give a 2 month notice ( I have never heard of one that long)

So quit, get another job.

If you have a contract that specifies 2 months notice I suggest you give it. While there are ample reasons for you to leave, I don't see anything that might void your contract or provide grounds for a suit.

Before you leave without notice I strongly suggest going over your contract and situation with a labor attorney. NLike I said, you don't appear to have enough to justifiy voiding the contract, which means they can hold you to the 2 month notice.
