To help save on my utility bill I usually cut my hot water heater off doing the day for 8 to 10 hours. I cut it off when its not cycling to heat up. I would like to know by doing This, would it cause any problems with the heating element, thermostat or electrical? Thank you in advance.

I have a 60gal Giant brand electric water heater. It's the 2nd time in approx. 2 years (since we moved into the house) that there is not hot water left in the tank. I turn off the circuit breaker and then turn it back on and the water starts to heat again. The circuit breaker did not 'pop'! ...

OK here is my dilema.. I just purchased a newly built home. We are the 1st owners and everything was brand new.. appliances, furnace boiler etc; I have scortching hot water everywhere but my master bath. I have 2 flrs and 2 full baths. Bathroom on 1st floor has hot water enough to fog up...

I think my hot water heater is going out... I can lite the pilot and then it will start but only for a few min... I tapped around inside just a little to loosen stuff and right now it seems to stay lit... so I am thinking about replacing my water heater if this keeps happening... My question...
