    What 80s cartoon was this?
    OK I have this vivid memory of watching a cartoon on VHS when I was young and I CANNOT remember what it was called or what it was really about! It would be from the 80s some time, possibly late 80s. It may have been a series and I only ever saw one episode or it might have been a movie? All I can remember is there was a wizard with a white beard whose little house/laboratory was under a big tree and there was the main young boy character and this blonde girl who lived in a castle and had a little bird who was her friend. The bit I can remember is her spying on the baddie through the eye holes in a painting/statue and then getting trapped in the walls of the castle with water filling them up. She sends her little bird off to get the boy and the wizard (who I seem to remember as having funny little creatures as sidekicks). The wizard possibly kept mucking up his spells. And I think they come to rescue her in a submarine?

    Please help!! It has been driving me crazy for months.
