Why cant I fall pregnant? We are following the rules
I don’t understand why I am not pregnant??
My partner and I have been together for 4 years now and have been having unprotected sex for 3 years this includes me not being on the pill and we decided a year ago that we would actively start trying to have a baby but nothing!
My partner has had a fertility test done by his local GP and results came back 'all clear' I have been to my gyno and have had a laparoscopy done results were slight endometriosis which they got rid of however my doctor said the endometriosis was not in places where it would affect me having children or falling pregnant - thank god! This was all done roughly 3 to 4 months ago so we have virtually been given the all clear to have children however we still haven’t fallen pregnant.
I have been taking my temperature now for 6 months to work out my ovulation days as your temperature is suppose to rise a little once you have ovulated. We have also been to our local chemist and done 3 ovulation testing kits and when they say I am ovulating we have been having sex it tells us we have 48hr chance of conceiving so we have intercourse approximately 5 times within the 48hr period this includes morning, afternoons and nights and we do it in the missionary position and afterwards I lay flat on my back with a pillow under my bottom and legs in the air.
Should it normally take this long to conceive? Would a doctor be willing to try IVF with us? Every month when my periods arrive my partner and I are devastated so much this time we think it’s time to stop trying so hard but I’m scared my time is running out even though we are both 23yrs old.
Yes we have sat down and answered all your questions are we ready, are we ready financially, do we want this and we have answered yes to all of these questions we know what a baby brings to peoples life’s as we have 5 nephews and 3 nieces so we can see how hard it can be sometimes for people but we are ready but it’s just not happening... why??

    Unexplained infertility is hard..

But your stress levels must be through the roof!

Instead of focusing on trying to have a baby, try to just relax about the whole thing, maybe a holiday is in order?

It can take most couples up to a year to conceive, although I realise you have been trying for 3.

Perhaps go back to your doctor to discuss other options.

It does sound like you are doing all the "right" things and I'm glad to hear you're tracking ovulation and had fertility checks.

Have you fallen pregnant at any point and miscarried? I'm only asking because this could change the medical intervention you may need.

Sometimes there is no solid reason why a couple can't conceive, so it may be time for IVF or other options you may be willing to explore.

    Stop worrying with it.
Relax, enjoy being with your partner.
    Love him.
    Enjoy intimacy and sex.
It will all fall into place.
    And pregnancy will come.
It will happen when it is time whether you are trying or not.
