My dog won't stop drinking water
I have a 13 year old male min pin who recently won't stop drinking water, the problem was bad before but we fed him brisket 3 days ago and that night he drank 4 bowls of water until he was sick all night. If we take his water bowl up he cries for it all day and if we leave it down he won't stop drinking. He is so desperate to get to the bowl that he has actually hurt himself twice trying to get there fast enough. Can you help

Was the brisket rather fatty? He could be having a about of pancreatitis, it's not overly common but if I dog is not used to having fat it can basically shut down the pancreas. It is a condition that they can recover from most of the time but sometimes they need ongoing treatment. The other possibilities are things like diabetes but it is unlikely he would start drinking a lot all of a sudden. Time for a vet visit to run some tests. |

My dog who is 16 years old just won't stop drinking water. We will fill his bowl up and he will drink it until its all gone. He will even get that desperate to have a drink that he will go try and drink out of the toilet which he has not done since he was a puppy
Has anyone else had trouble with soda? I want to STOP but it seems impossible, especially in the AM. I rarely drink and don't smoke (30yrs old and never even tried drugs) Dr. Pepper is my downfall! :eek:
