Bolens leaf blower will not start
This is my first time here.
I have a bolens leaf blower 2 cycle. It will not start. There is no evidence of fuel getting to the spark plug. I took it apart and all lines seem to be clear. When I push the prime button you can see it bubbling in the gas tank. Don't know if this is correct or not. I do not know how to check the needle valve if there is one to see if it is clogged. I even tried a new spark plug. Before it stopped, it would only run on idle, when I tried to speed it up it started to die. I don't know that much about these things but want to fix it. I am mechanically smart. A new one is $ 99.00, if I can't fix it, I think it would cost more to take it to a repair shop than buy a new one. This one is several years and has never given me one lick of problems. I also took the fuel filter off and cleaned it, and tried it without the filter. No luck. I use stabilizer in my fuel all the time on all my power equipment. A friend told me this was a good idea.
I would appreciate all your help.
    Thanks,
    Ron,

    Hi,
First I would check the muffler screen to see if it is completely obstructed. The idle, but die when accelerated description says that it may not be expelling the exhaust to bring in a fresh fuel/air charge.

I tried that, however, there is no fuel on the spark plug. I even sprayed starter fluid in the carb and on the spark plug, did not even fire

    Hi,
Then check to make sure the piece the carb fastens to has not come loose.

There are two long bolts that bolt the carb to the engine. The one is tight, the other one is loose because it has broken off, however, this has been like this for a long time. Any other ideas?
    God's blessing to you.

    Hi,
It bolts to the engine, or to a plate that bolts to the engine? You have not given a model number, so I have no way of looking it up.
    Peace,
    Clarke
