    Postpartum
Ok I had a baby 6 weeks ago. I got on the birth control patch 3 weeks ago and started bleeding 1 1/2 weeks into it, so I switched to the nuva ring. (Ihad samples of both from my doctor) and I have had it in for about a week and a half also and started bleeding again today. Is this normal? Is it a reaction, or could I be pregnant again?

Honestly, anything is possible. I don't mean to sound sarcastic, but it is true. Some women are at their most fertile right after giving birth.

This could all be due to your hormones bouncing around. You gave birth, hormones change, you tried the patch and your hormones changed again, you went to the ring and, voilą, your hormones are changing yet again.

It can take up to a year to get pregnant, it also can take up to a year for your hormones to regulate back to pre-pregnancy state.

If you are concerned you need to call your doc. At 6 weeks post-partum no doubt you should be having a check-up very soon. Address your concerns with your OB/GYN then.
