    Removing caulk adhesive from bathtub
I want to recaulk my bathtub. I originally used "flexible plastic trim with adhesive backing". After pulling the old trim off, there is a sticky, adhesive residue left that I have been unable to remove.

I have tried a scraper, but this stuff is so gooey, it just bunches up. I have tried alcohol, too. I wanted to use some method that doesn't involve chemicals with hazardous fumes, but I'll try anything now!!

Help me, please!! Thank you for any help!!

Start with mineral spirits, then Goof Off working your way up to laquer thinner. Goof off should do it if mineral spirits doesn't http://www.goof-off.com/
