    Third, like excon said, we need more information before we can give you an accurate answer. Are you salaried or paid hourly? I assume salaried since you are asking if you'll get paid for missing a day of work. What are the specifics of your situation?

    It mostly depends on your employer. A lot of salaried positions (though not necessarily all) allow for a certain amount of paid leave for illness, vacation, etc. Of course, you have to follow your employer's procedures for claiming such leave, whatever they may be.

    It is maybe and normally. There are many factors, which include how many days you have missed up to that point, is there an allowed number of days you have to use, sick leave, vacation days and more
