Hi,

We have installed a neo angle shower a few months ago in our basement. It worked find and we followed the installation instructions. However I have noticed that both corners of shower (byt the wall and glass frame) are leaking now. I removed the caulking and ran water to see where the leak is. The water runs under the track that holds the glass walls and door.

Since we are moving in a few months can anyone tell me how to repair this without replacing the whole shower. I have tried recaulking and that does not work.

What brand of shower pan did you buy?

It is a Keystone corner shower

First, let me ask you: Is this Framless Shower Enclosure ? ( only sheet of glass against the wall ?)

If the glass is set in a frame than your glass seal leaks. First let it dry for few days. Spray it with Denaturated Alcohol. Wipe it off with clean towel. Then apply clear, tiny, bead of silicone caulking bet. The seal and glass. Wipe it thin and clean with Denaturated Alcohol on clean terry cloth towel. Allow to cure for 3 days.

You can apply the caulk over all bottom interior joints. Advice: buy new tube of silicone caulk. Cut the tip 1/8" and at 45 degree angle.

It is not a frameless shower. There is a frame that holds the glass part which attaches to the bottom shower pan. The water leaks under the frame that sits on the pan. We have tried many times to recaulk with different silicone caulking and after a week or two the small leak starts again and you can see the caulking is all wet. We have let it cure for at least a week to ensure it is dry.

We followed the instrustions on how to put the shower together twice as we took it apart to see if there were any issues. We were thinking of applying a silicone bead under the track frame before we reassemble to see if that would stop the water from coming under the frame. We also will silicone the frame again.

Do you think that will help. Otherwise the shower is great and only leaks at the bottom by the track frame in the corners.

I would definitely put caulk under the frame, bet. The frame and pan. I think it should be there in first place...

Caulk is a great invention.You just have to know how to use it For your situation, I would recommend you use Silicone caulk.

When you caulk, especially with silicone, the frame and pan has to be ABSOLUTELY DRY. No water, no moisture, no steam. Then, it has to be ABSOLUTELY clean. No soap residue, no shampoo residue, no dust, oil, etc.

In these situations, we use Denaturated Alcohol in spray bottle to clean the surface. You spray it on the surface and wipe it off with clean cloth. Then, you can apply caulk. Only this way we can be assured, the surface is clean.

Caulk has to be given adequate time to dry. Silicone caulk at least 3 days. Latex caulks about a day. Again, no water, moisture, steam during the drying period.
