    Outlook Express files
    Anybody use Outlook Express 6 ? Recently, I have reinstalled my notebook computer. The old mails are in other Directory somewhere. But don't know where it is hiding. Anybody knows ? And do I use 'Import' to bring the old mails back to the reinstalled OE ? Thanks.

    I just got done reformatting my hard drive as I picked up some sort of bug or virus. Guess what? If you haven't saved all of your email onto the server provider that you use... all your email is gone forever. When you set up your Outlook Express accounts be sure to click the option of saving all of your emails onto the server. I had over 11,000(! ) emails saved onto the server provider I use. I didn't lose any at all.

    Finally I am able to locate my emails. It's hided under C:\Documents and Settings \ Username \ Local Settings \ Application Data \ Identities. Use Import emails function on OE6 to import them back to the OE.
