    I want to get fit!
Hi, just wondering about how I can get more fit. I'm 14, 5'6'', wide hips, big thighs, and 120 pounds. Id like to get fit and have a nice body that I'm happy with. Any suggestions?

If you are 5'6'' the 120 lbs is at the low end of your weight range

Are you male or female? Like josh said, you're at the low end of your weight range. There's not a whole lot you can do about wide hips usually. You can tone the muscles up there. But your bones are usually what makes your hips really be wide or narrow. You can also tone your thighs. But don't expect them to be perfect like the airbrushed models in magazines. It's just unrealistic.

The most important thing is having a healthy diet and regular exercise, no matter what weight you are. I wouldn't advise you to try losing weight. But it's always a good idea to avoid things like junk food, fried food, sugary foods. Include lots of vegetables, fruits, lean protein in your diet. Don't stress if you're craving chocolate or ice cream sometimes, you can still eat them, it's all about moderation. Eating good foods can help you feel better. I feel icky after I eat fast food. I feel much better about my body and just in general when I'm eating at least mostly healthy foods.

Thank you, I am female, but I would like to slim down my thighs and butt, like any specific excercises that help, or what??
I'm not really trying to lose weight, just get more toned, and I DO NOT like junk food.

Josh's suggestion is good. Don't be discouraged if you don't see immediate results. Those are big muscles you want to work on. It'll take time. You might also want to look into pilates. I remember the pilates videos I used to borrow from my aunt had a number of exercises for my backside, I just don't remember what they were. You can probably Google videos though.
