    Night eating
I have a specific problem I canīt seem to get rid of.

I usually work until late. I donīt eat much during the day, because I feel full.

At nights I eat large quantities of food. I cannot fall asleep if I donīt feel full. If I skip the food at night or reduce it, I wake up 4 hours laters and need to eat again so I can sleep.

    Please help.

So plan what you are going to eat at night to get the most benefit from it.

Ideally, you could spread your calories out a bit, perhaps with easy to eat snack meals while you are at work, but the important thing is to make sure that when you do eat, it's good nutritious food that will help keep you fit and energetic.

A great food for this is soup. It fills you up for longer than the same calories worth of ordinary food, so you don't need to eat so much. Instead of an ordinary dessert, try having some cottage cheese (I have recipes that really improve the taste and texture if necessary). Cottage cheese is high protein, low fat, but most important, it has mainly casein protein, which digests very slowly, so you won't be waking up feeling hungry during the night.

    Wonderful!

I like this reply. It makes a lot of sense to me.

Would you be so kind to share the recipe for the cottage cheese?

Iīve never liked cottage cheese, but I really want to acquire the taste.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Empty a sachet of sugarfree jelly into a jug, pour 1/3 of a pint of very hot water on and stir to dissolve.
Put 100-200g of cottage cheese into your blender, add less than half the hot jelly mixture and blend until the whole thing is smooth and there are no curds.
Empty a tray of ice cubes into the rest of the jelly mixture and stir.
Put the jelly and ice mixture into the blender and blend until you can't hear any more ice rattling.
Divide into about four portions and put into the fridge to chill.

I promise, this makes a lovely mousse that doesn't taste at all of cottage cheese.
