Hello my name is tim my I helped my nieghbor change his ac unit the new one has emergecy heat on it so we had to change the thermostat as well my problem is we can't remember how the thermostat wiring was wired into the unit his old thermostat would not work correctly with the unit we installed so we rewired it for just the cooling but now we can't remember where or how the thermostat was connected to the unit I had the wiring diagram at one time but have seemed to of lost it

You changed a ac to a heatpump? Do you have 8 wires going outside? Do you have 8 wires going to the t-stat? And do you have a 2 heat 1 cool stat?

No it only had 5 wire's going to the stat but we're changing it why we're needing wiring diagram
