    Coombs negative hemolytic anemia
I am a 51 year old male and have been in great health my whole life. Lat year while having a physical they came up with a diagnosis of hemolytic anemia. I have no symptoms. WBC, RBC, and hemoglobin numbers are decreased. I have had 2 bone marrow, 2 abdomen scans, and many blood tests, and the only thing they have come up with is that my spleen is enlarged and have concluded that it is some sort of an autoimmune disease. I have been on presidone which did nothing and now they want to try me on cyclosporine which I really do not want to do, the only other suggestion is to take the spleen out which I do not want to do either. So any thoughts, suggestions regarding my journey would be appreciated. Thanks.

Your spleen in this c ase is not doing its job to remove old and diseased RBCs, probably the reason why they want to remove it. No, you would not have any physical symptoms that you could feel, other then being very tired and lethargic. Your symptoms are all internal and they have found them.

You have not explained why you do not want your spleen removed, or why you do not want to try another med. Doctors do as much as they can, and in your case it sounds like they are trying to stabilize you.
