    Just sharing another episode of "Tales from the Dark Side of HVAC Service". The equipment owner observed that the H/X tubes resembled automotive exhaust tubing, and suggested using repair tape intended for exhaust systems. I responded by asking him whether he would be comfortable driving a car repaired in this fashion, if the exhaust system passed through the passenger compartment. The proverbial light bulb never came on...

    Up here in Maine we use Duct Tape, we sneak it over the border from Canada.

    Be careful. Metric tape is not rated for SAE surfaces... :p
