    Ceiling water damage
My son lives in a downstairs bedroom and has noticed the ceiling lowering in center of room. When he moved in the landlord said it was old water damage. He is a college student and will be out in a several months but in the mean time I am worried the ceiling will fall on him especially since there is a bathtub above his bed. What should I do I am worried. Also there must be mold.

If he doesn't own the place and the landlord doesn't want to do anything, he is literally on his own. Also, any repair work will be VERY inconvenient for him will he is living there. That type of work is DIRTY. As to the mold, unless the leak is active and continually wet, mold will usually not be a bad problem once it is dry. About all you can do is look for another place and make certain his renters insurance is up to date.

Maybe he should sleep under his kitchen table. :)
