    Pregnant While on the Pill?
I have been taking the pill regularly for several years. I am in my early thirties. About a week ago I forgot to take one. I have never done that before. I didn't discover that until the following day when I went to take that day's pill, so I doubled up/took both. Since last week I have been feeling different than normal- breasts are enlarged, I have to urniate frequently, and I am experiencing some abdominal cramping and lower back pain. I am supposed to have my period next week. Is it possible that these symptoms are just hormonal due to the interruption of my regular pill routine? I have not experienced these symptoms since being on the pill, but possibly it's just PMS? How soon would a pregnancy test detect a possible pregnancy?

In all honesty, both scenarios are possible.

I had two children on the pill and I took it faithfully.

You will have to wait to see if your period comes to decide whether to take a HPT.

I second that, I got pregnant with both pregnancies on the pill as well (I took them pretty faithfully too). Taking two pills after you missed one was the right thing to do. They say that if you miss one, as soon as you remember take it... so you took them at the same time. This is still not enough for you to be experiencing all these symptoms from just two pills! I have done that before too and I didn't feel that way. PMS does do funny things and can give out similar symptoms as well... wait for your period... if you miss it then get a test (so wait about a week or on the 7th day of your missed expected period)... it's hard to say... it's kind of a waiting game right now. Pregnancies could take a while to show up... have to wait for the hormones to build up. With me it took about 2 - 3 weeks of pregnancy before it showed up on the urination test. Good luck!
