Trying to locate a children's book from my childhood (80's)
I am trying to find a title of a book that I had as a child. All I remember is "Adventures of Butter Bear and Cocoa Bear". I remember the story being about Butter Bear and his mother moving to the woods where Butter Bear meets Cocoa Bear and the have adventures together. My mom told me that the book was a promotion through a bank in the Hampton, VA area and that the book came with two stuffed animal bears that resembled the character bears, Butter Bear and Cocoa Bear. Does anyone remember this book/children's story?

I'm looking for the same book! My grandmother gave me Cocoa (the one stuffed animal from childhood I still hang onto & treasure) and the accompanying book after opening an account at a DC-area bank -- but of course I always wanted Butter Bear, too. :)

The New Bear in the Woods aka Cocobear Meets Butterbear. The second title is available on Amazon and eBay. My son had the book--I still call him Butterbear (He's 23)

The book my son had was called The New Bear in the Woods, but I found it just tonight as Cocobear Meets Butterbear. I think it was First Virginia Bank. It's available on Amazon and eBay.

It was a promotion from Virginia National Bank which was headquartered in Norfolk, VA, before merging with First & Merchants National Bank in Richmond on Jan. 1, 1984. I worked at the bank and purchased the two bears. I did not get the book.
