    Sociology assignment
I'm taking sociology and need to do a writing assignment... I need help, or someone to do or that already has and got a good grade to let me "borrow theirs" $$... here is the assignment:

    Soc 200, Fall 2009
    Online—Writing Assignment

Pick one of the following assignments to complete. The final writing assignment is due no later than November 22nd at midnight. Remember that this is a formal paper and should be grammatically correct and be a critical analysis. Please use 12 point font, double-spaced, and one inch margins. Each assignment contains two elements—a scholarly review of sources dealing with the topic and a social experiment.
    Approximate Length 5-8 pages

    1. This assignment offers you an opportunity to think about social norms that exist in our daily lives. Pick one notion related to norms and find 3-5 scholarly sources (scholarly journal articles or books). You should use these sources to provide a small basis of research, grounding, or an introduction to the idea of norms. After you complete the literature review (research) component choose one to break, and then experience the sanctions from your “victims”. If possible have someone to “work” with you to observe the reactions/responses of the “victims”. This could be a friend, co-worker, classmate, spouse, etc. One thing to keep in mind: if you don’t get a reaction, chances are that you haven’t broken a very strong norm, or haven’t broken your norm convincingly – try again! At the same time, you do not need to choose anything outlandish to get a response – don’t get yourself arrested and don’t do anything to make others feel threatened. So here’s what you do:

    1. Choose and then break your social norm. You must have at least 3 victims (or groups of victims – you are to break the norm 3 times or at least confront 3 separate individuals) so that you can make some basic comparisons between responses.

    2. Write up your experience including the following components. Make sure you address each of these aspects.
    a. Fully describe the norm you chose to break. Why this norm? How/in what ways is this norm culturally defined?
    b. Describe the “scene(s) of the crime”, and why you chose it (or them) for this experiment. Would you have changed any aspect of the scene if you we to do the assignment over? Why or why not?
    c. Briefly describe the social characteristics (demographic information) of your victims. Why did you choose this person/group?
    d. Describe the ways in which norm breach is sanctioned, making some general comparisons as to how your “victims” responded. You may include some comments about the internal sanctions experienced by those doing the norm breaking. In other words did you feel sanctions? Describe this reaction.
    e. Explain what role this particular norm has in helping to maintain social order. In other words, what would be the effect if everyone were to stop observing this norm, and why would it matter, if, in fact, you believe it would. (Hint: even seemingly benign social norms typically have some role in giving us information about the social world.)
    f. Please include an introduction and conclusion; these are your opportunities to illustrate an understanding of why you would do an experiment regarding social norms.

    2. The purpose of this assignment is to provide a very small glimpse into one aspect of poverty—living off a poverty food budget. Pick one notion related to poverty and find 3-5 scholarly sources (scholarly journal articles or books). You should use these sources to provide a small basis of research, grounding, or an introduction to the idea of norms. After you complete the literature review (research) component you will live off a poverty budget. For 5 full days in a row you will only have $4.25 to spend on food for the entire day (which is greater than the average food stamp allotment of 3.00/day). If you have already purchased food then you must figure out the cost of each item you eat.

You will need to keep a food journal of what you eat and how much you have spent for each meal/day. For the final paper you need to address all the following aspects:

    1. Include the information in your journal so that I will have a clear understanding of what you ate and how much you spent on each meal each day.

    2. Were you successful? Why or why not. Fully explain.

    3. If you went shopping for food how did this change your buying habits—explain.

    4. Overall how did this change the way you ate? Types of food, quality of food, quantity of food, etc.

    5. Did this shift in diet change how you felt physically--explain

    6. How was your day- to-day routine changed? Explain

    7. If you were doing this assignment what would you change? Why?

    8. What did you learn from this assignment?

    9. Using at least one/some of the theories of stratification/inequality/poverty explain why you think we continue to have poverty in a wealthy US.

So you want to buy a paper and pass it off as yours? Is this correct?

    Two points.

    1. What you are trying to do is unethical. Very unethical...

    2. The purpose of the assignment is for you to actually learn something - not just the facts, but how to interpret the facts and think for yourself. If you don't really want to learn, quit the course and don't waste your own and the instructor's time.

    1. I didn't ask if it was ethical or not. 2. you didn't have to respond to it 3. I have learned a lot in this class and I have a condition (I have to type with pencil in mouth, and I have voice activated system but it will be hard to do this with that!) and I just need some help, but maybe you don't understand that, maybe your mouth opens before you know someone sometimes you should just keep it shut.
You fit right into this sociology class... wow...

That will pretty guarantee no responses. People like helping nice people, not those who insult them. Good luck!

If you are struggling with the assignment then you need to approach your lecturer. In my experience they are very helpful and if your "condition" is prohibiting your from completing your own work then perhaps you need to approach student services re any available assistence. Better this than "borrowing" others work. Plagerism is not ethical and not nearly as satisfying as completing your own work. Good luck!
