    Bank levee in error
My bank account has been frozen due to a levy filed in error. My son and husband have the same name and the levy is against my son, not my husband and myself. We have never cosigned on any documents for my son. I have placed numerous calls to the attorney who placed the "illegal" levy, but have gotten no response. What do I do next.

    Hello k:

Write the attorney a letter. In it, explain the mistake the lawyer made. Tell him further, that his mistake is damaging you, and if it isn't corrected within 72 hours, you'll file suit to collect your damages.

Send it certified, return receipt requested. Send another copy by regular mail, and hand deliver a copy to his office this morning, if he's in the same town as you.
