Younger dog pees when sleeping.
Hi there, I'm writing because we have a 10 month old female English Setter who has never had bathroom training issues - until recently. During the past 3 months on about 3 occasions she has slowly piddled while she was sleeping. All three times she was never awakened by it and we only noticed when she got up and had a wet behind and left a wet couch. She is usually great for sleeping through the night OR waking me up if she needs to go out in the middle of it. Please advise... thank you!

I think she might be having nightmares or has a blatter problem. Take her to the vet to just be sure. And till you get her to the vet, put some spounge or foam under her so she won't get wet.

This sounds like a kidney problem developing. Vet, this week.
By the way, is she spayed?

Definitely time for a vet check.
I have a female here with incontinence, she used to have accidents in her sleep 3-4 times a week, now that she is on a drug called propalin she hasn't had a single accident.
The dosage is very, very small, my girl weighs 8kg and she has 0.25 ml twice a day just squirted down her throat with a syringe.
There are other reasons for incontinence but they usually happen all the time, not just when the dog is sleeping (spay and regular incontinence)
Your vet will more than probably suggest a bunch of tests including putting a dye into your dogs body, I personally didn't do this as the cost of these tests are astronomical, my vet just got me to try propalin for 2 weeks to see if there was an improvement... I tried it and it worked... saved me about $2,000
