    Bubbles from lavatory overflow vent
    Hello,

We are on the second story of a new building. Sometimes when we wash our hands, bubbles from the hand soap overflow back out of the overflow vent.

I don't think this is an issue, but I have been asked numerous times why this is happening.

Is this something I should be concerned about, or just a normal occurrence?

    Thank you!

Over flow vent in the sink face, this can happen but nothing to worry about unless your are getting drainage problems, then I'd rod the drain and clean out the trap.

It'snot normal but it's nothing to get worried about unless drainage is affected. So you'll better understand Let ne show you what's happening. Good luck, Tom

Moldy odor from lavatory overflow drain hole [ 3 Answers ]

After months, I finally isolated a moldy odor in my bathroom as coming from the hole in the lavatory that is supposed to keep it from overflowing. I know this because I stopped up that hole with a wad of cotton and don't smell the mold. I have put clorox into the overflow hole but it must have run...
