I have been on Seroquel for about 1 year. I am 6feet tall and 280 lbs. After I eat my glucose reading id abot 150. I do not experince frequent urination, or have the desire to drink liquids often. I have not lost weight, in fact since I have been on Seroquel I have gained. One thing I do expereince, is after lunch I get extremely tired, to the point that I want to go to bed. Please reply

Fatigue after eating can be a sign of diabetes because it means your body is not able to process sugar properly. See a doctor right away.

You may have a condition called hyperglycemia. On the web page about this drug it does discuss diabetes. Please look at this page and then discuss this with your doctor. He may decide to change your medicine or change the dosage accordingly.

If you have the ability to take glucose readings, do the following with times recorded. If possible a rough idea of what you ate:

    1. Morning fasting glucose level before breakfast (note time)
    2. take a reading 1 and 2 hours after breakfast
    3. Before lunch (note time)
    4. Before
    5. take a reading 1 and 2 hours after dinner
    6, Bedtime

Being overweight puts larger demands on Insulin. If your body cannot use the calories it takes in, it stores them as FAT. Some of the storage mechanisms is in tryglycerides and chlolesterol.

Your BMI is a good way of figuring out where your weight should be.

You should be putting effort into losing weight.
