    What do I do now?
I received a Sheriff's Income Execution letter from the Nassau County Sheriff's Departmet.

As per the letter there was a judgement on the docket on 6/15/2009 in District Court and the action was in favor of the creditor (Bronson & Migliaccio LLP) against me the debtor.

Here's the problem I was never served anything and as far as I was told the item was charged off by Household Financial back in 2006.

At this point what can I do to dispute this or do I just make payment arrangements and pay it off?

    Hello S:

With a judgment in hand, they're not going to accept payments... They can just seize your bank accounts and garnish your wages...

If you owe the money, even if you were to get the judgment set aside, they'll just serve you in court and win another judgment... So, if you have cash, I'd see if you can settle the whole thing.. If you can, you'll probably get a significant discount...

In terms of "charging" the loan off. That's just an accounting term. It does NOT mean that you don't owe it.
