I hope that this post is legit, and not some sort of promotion, as most members would be happy to have achieved results. After all, this is why we are here, isn't it?

If it is legit, then you should be able to return to your original colour once you cease using the maxi light.

I have a lightened face and neck but not all evenly so it looks patchy and the rest of my body is very dark I just want to go back to my normal colour like the rest of my unlightened body... what do I do, do I just stop using maxi light or get medical help?

Well I would hope or at least assume once it started causing you to be patchy you just stopped using it at once.

And getting medical advice is never wrong

I will stop using it now on, and seek medical help but if I do stop using it would my face fade back to normal?

Zoe yeah you should discontinue using it if it's making your skin patchy, contact your dermatologist, and possibly start using retin-a or lactic acid to help even your skin.

Zoe getting darker during pregnancy is normal for colored women, if you had given it some time your normal colour would have returned in a few months, but you should seek medical advice at this time

I got very dark with my pregnancies too, esp. facially (melasma/cholasma)... also the line on the stomach.:o

The best thing is to see a dr. Maybe s/he can determine if you've lightened your face to your natural untanned skin shade (have a look at childhood photos) or somehow gone beyond it.

    Best of luck!

So would it be safe to use a natural skin lightener to maintain a lighter complexion a few times a week while pregnant? Is it possible that the doctor would say it is OK if you bring the products for them to look at? I'm thinking ahead, but want to be safe for both child and me when the time comes.

I wouldn't use anything bleaching during pregnancy. Just sunscreen, hats, shade-seeking & exfoliating lotions maybe. I'd double-check any products w/ my ob-gyn or derm dr.

I really aggravated my melasma w/ too much sun. Even though it's improving, I can still see a faint mask in certain lights.
