    Traveling expenses
I filed a small claims in California, one of the things the defendant is counter suing me for is their travel expenses to come to court. Can they sue me for travel expenses they spent to come to court if they were to win

    Hello m:

They can add ANY expense they like, but traveling to court ISN'T an expense that will be reimbursed, even if you lose.

The fees that ARE reimbursable are limited to filing fees and the cost of service - and that's ONLY if you lose.
