    Outdoor oil tank replacement
I just bought a new house and the oil tank is located outside the house next to the foundation, above ground. It appears to be at least 20 yrs old and in need of replacement. I'm thniking of replacing the tank soon as it is currently empty. My question is that the oil lines themselves are located on the top of the tank... is there any pressure release process associated with the removal of the tank? I was under the impression that home heating oil was stricly gravity fed, but with the lines being on top of the tank..? AND if there is anything I should know prior to ding this, as I have never attempted this before, I would appreciate any advice, thanks!
