    52 < n+26=

    How do I work this problem, I see one way in my books, but I don't understand it.

    52 < m+26 =

    Well, its just like solving any algebraic problem, but its not equal. If we had 52 = m + 26, you would subtract 26 from both sides,and end up with 26 = m. But since its not equal, in the last step you will have 26 < m.

    52<n+26, so (subtracting 26 from both sides) 26<n
