    Cmmgr.exe
    Hi, dennis,
First, when you ask a question, please always include your windows version, like XP, Win98/98SE, etc.
I assume from the path you gave that you have Win98 or 98SE.
I also use Win98SE, and no such file as cmmgr.exe exists!
I also assume you left out a period or dot between cmmgr and exe in your question.

Please post back with your windows version, and also,
Are you getting an error messages that say this file is missing?
If not, how did you know it was missing?
    Thank you,
    fredg

Try finding your motherboard manufacturer and download the sound drivers from there.

Well I have XP and I don't have that file either. It looks to me like it only came with Win 98SE and ME. Did you upgrade from an older version of Windows out of curiousity?

I found some articles which may help you find the file if you have some older Windows install CD's. See if this helps

If you have a Win Me install disk, search for Win_16.cab on the disk. Cmmgr32.exe is in there --> http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;272634

If you have a Win 98SE install disk, search for Win98_44.cab on the disk. Cmmgr32.exe should be in there -->

Now this program is called Microsoft Connection Manager or something like that. From what I read in Google, it's more to do with dial-up internet connections. So I don't know if this is going to help your problem
