    Theft and Walmart Canada
So here's what happened... My aunt who has no criminal record was at Walmart last week and she bought a bunch of stuff, but she also walked out with a bunch of stuff. She said that she has no idea why she did it and she had the money to pay for it. She was stopped by Security and brought to the back room. They had the police come out and she was given a $65 fine and told that charges probably wouldn't be laid. She was also given a paper that stated something along the lines of refraining from shopping at any Walmarts for one year. The manager of Walmart told her that this only applied to stores in the region that we live in. What I need to know is whether she can go to the other Walmart in the city we live in, or one of the ones in the surrounding cities? I tried calling Walmart Canada and they just keep transferring me to the v/m of the loss prevention manager, who in return seems to return my call when I'm gone always just leaving her # and no answer to the question. Does anyone on here have an idea?

Normlly no, not within that city, or entire area.

Has she seen a doctor and had any checks to see about the issue of not knowing what she was doing

Her picture is likely posted in all the Wallmart store security offices in the area. She should obey their one year policy. If I were you I might consider not going shopping with her until she understands more about her shoplifting problem.

Thanks for the replies. As far as I know she hasn't looked into getting any help, she advised me that aside from the police and the manager at Walmart I was the only other person that knew about the incident.
