    Pipe under kitchen rattles when hot water goes through
    Hi,

    I have delta single faucet in the kitchen. Its 2 yr old townhome. When I try to get hot water from kitchen faucet, pipe rattles and makes thud thud sound. This happens only with hot water runs through kitchen faucet, not with cold water. Any ideas how do I identify and fix this?

    Go back and secure the pipe with pipe straps, (see image) If that doesn't get it click on back and tell me about it. Good luck, Tom

    It sounds like you have a loose washer on the stem inside the angle valve, close the hot angle valve all the way in under the sink and open it all the way out try now and see if the rattling changes, but you still need to check the washer for looseness.

    Close the main shut off valve, remove the packing nut and the stem see the image below, check the washer, I would suggest to replace the washer, install the stem and check if the problem is fixed, if not come back and we will tell you the next step, good luck.
