Pex return line for baseboard heat
Can PEX tubing be used as return line return on the top of the fins on the baseboard hot water heating register when a through the floor return is not practical?

With constant expansion and contraction, I'm concerned about the sharp tops of the heating fins waring holes in the PEX tubing over time.
