    No stimulus checks were issued in 2009.

    Most taxpayers received an Economic Stimulus Rebate in 2008 shortly after they filed their 2007 tax return.

    Some did not for a variety of reasons, but were allowed to claim a Recovery Rebate Creidt on their 2008 tax return if their situation changed to allow to them to qualify for the credit.
