The sink has hot water but the shower.
I just bought this house for one month and now I found out that my two showers upstairs don't have hot water. I tried the sinks on both bathrooms and they both have hot water. Don't know why the there isn't hot water in the baths. One note is that if I turn the nob all the way to the hot side. The water turn off. Any idea how to fix this? Many thanks

You either have a ball valve or a cartridge valve with a clogged hot inlet. If you answer John's question of post a picture we can help you clean it out back to new.

    Hello TLe,

It sounds like you have problem with your cartridge, or there is a blockage inside the faucet at the hot port, here is what you need to do, shut off water to the showers, remove the cartridges, open the link select your faucet watch the clips will show you how to remove and install the cartridge, once you remove the cartridge check inside the faucet for any debris if any clean it out, now turn on the water for a second to flush out any dirt out from the faucet, clean the cartridge lubricate and install see if the problem is fixed, if not you have to change the cartridge, also FYI you can get New cartridges for free from Moen call the customer service at 800-882-0116 and let them know that you are the original owner.
