Court summons for credit card owed
    Hi,
I am currently going through debt settlement and have worked very hard at settling all my debts. Recently I had a sheriff come to my door and ordered for me to appear in court for a Discover card owed. I am extremely concerned as to what will happen? I am aggressively paying off all my debt and did try to settle with the Lawyers office for this credit card but they refused to work with me. I wanted to except there offer in two payments but they would not except it so I moved forward to settle another credit card I owed.
My question is will my wages be garnished or will they freeze my checking account? I really need to know what I can do? I have ready so many scary stories regarding this and it seems they don't rule in favor of the person who owes. I am hoping they will give me a little more time to settle this. What do you think?
